First time and won’t be the last. My four year old said “Mom! This is the best sushi I’ve ever had in my whole life.” Haha and I can’t say she isn’t wrong. The flavors really stood out. Everything was clean and fresh, with great presentation.

If you’re looking for local sushi at an affordable price then this spot is certainly worth your time. Despite the unassuming exterior, the inside is a quiet, clean dining room with a sushi bar available. Staff is attentive and polite, and while orders may take a while, the food is fresh and tasty.

Really enjoyed this place. Plenty of parking due to being in a shopping center. Inside was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The place was clean (tables, floor, walls). Our party of 4 were quickly seated. It wasn't crowded. There was a regular flow of people coming and going. Plenty of options on the menu but my desire was sushi and it did not disappoint me. We all chose from the lunch menu. Everyone enjoyed their choices so much that we all cleared our plates with very little talking. The miso soup was delish! Everything tasted fresh. Great table service. Always kept our glasses full, constantly checked on us, as well as answering questions. This was my annual birthday lunch with my sister and I wanted a good Japanese restaurant. This place did not disappoint and I will be back.

Without exaggeration, this is the best Japanese restaurant I've ever had in Chesapeake. The food is incredibly fresh, the sushi chef's sauces are always perfectly seasoned, and the staff are always very friendly. You'll fall in love with this place after just one visit!

**UPDATE** After getting a new order with the sauce not on top. It was miles better after getting home. I thank Oishi for doing this as now i am a big fan! ——————————————— **Old Review** I was recommended to Oishi and I ordered 2 rolls to go. I got a Philly roll and a manhattan roll. Food was ready super fast, and when I picked it up and took it home, I noticed the rolls had sucked in a ton of juice. Looks and tastes like water from the ginger. This made every piece of the rolls bad. It was so over powering. I took a pic of the left over juice so you can imagine how much soaked into each roll. Disappointed as I came in with high expectations.
